The Corrosive Challenge #178 - Shape Up!

I'm here with a new Corrosive Challenge, and I'm excited to welcome back sponsor Simply B Stamps this fortnight!  Betty's eclectic collection of quirky images in digi, rubber, and acrylic is sure to have something to please everyone!  Some even drawn by Miss Boo herself!  Visit her shop HERE for some retail therapy!  And for a chance to win a $15 gift voucher towards your purchase, play along with our "Shape Up!" challenge!  No square or rectangle cards is the only rule.

My card features Betty Laundry Dreamer from the Betty Boo I collection.  You can find her HERE.

I have fussy cut my Betty so she is missing her clothesline and laundry.  I had a bit of a printing snafu as I mentioned earlier.  The tops of the clothesline poles did not print.  Since I was out of ink at this point with no back-up cartridge on hand, I had to improvise.  I think it worked out okay in the end, though, but she gave me a scare there for a moment!  She's colored with Copics, of course, and I made her a red-head since I haven't done that hair color in some time.

The die used to make the card base is from Stampin' Up.  It's a Framelits called Labels Collection.  I embossed it with the Swiss Dots folder.  I also used an old SU stamp set called Pocket Fun for the pocket.  I fussy cut this as well and added flat back pearls.  Papers are Simple Stories - Summer Fresh.  I added a bottle cap from my stash, a fishtail banner (cut with the My Favorite Things Die-namics), and a flower.  The removable tag sentiment in the pocket was created with a SU punch.

Please stop by The Corrosive Challenge blog to see what shape the rest of the design team is in!  And if you're feeling inspired, perhaps you'll play along!  Today is looking to be a scorcher here so it would be a good one to stay inside where it's cool and craft!  Although I have a feeling we'll end up playing in the water, somewhere, somehow, even if it's just the kiddie pool or sprinkler in the back yard!  Ah, Summertime with a three year old!  :-)

Thanks for popping over and enjoy your day!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, E17, E19, R20, R39, R89, N0, N2, N4, YG93, YG95, BG72, B32, B34, B37, B39).

I love how you put together so many different colors and textures. I knew this was something of a "laundry" digi but the way you used it no one can tell. That's a sign of real genius! TFS
